Highland Academy Highland Academy is a Seventh-day Adventist co-educational boarding school for grades 9 -12. Its forerunner was the Fountain Head Rural School which was established on this property in 1907. Until 1945, it was operated as a self-supporting institution, a school and a hospital. Since 1945 the academy has been owned and operated by the Kentucky-Tennessee Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
Memphis Junior Academy Memphis Junior Academy (MJA) provides quality Christian education for grades Kindergarten through 10. Dedicated teachers and small class sizes give students more individual attention. MJA also provides chaperoned educational and mission trips to expand each student's experience beyond the classroom setting.
Oakwood University Since 1896, Oakwood University has provided students the opportunity to enter its halls of learning in preparation for service to community, country, and the world. The University is regionally accredited by the Southern Accrediting Association of Colleges and Schools and the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Department of Education. It offers a liberal arts curriculum in a Christ-centered atmosphere.
Southern Adventist University In 2001, an undergraduate enrollment of 2,098 eclipsed the previous record of 2,091 set in 1980, and Southern became the largest Seventh-day Adventist undergraduate institution in the North American Division. A nationwide emphasis on marketing affordability, value, Christian peers and professors, and the spiritual environment of the campus led to a steadily increasing enrollment. The university has achieved a top tier ranking for six consecutive years in the U.S. News and World Report. The School of Religion operates the Lynn H. Wood Archaeological Museum with the largest teaching collection of Near East artifacts in the United States. The School of Nursing maintains a 100 percent pass rate and top rankings on the National Council Licensure Examination. Southern Adventist University continues to move forward and expand its influence and educate with strong Christian beliefs and a Christ-centered worldview.
